I’m a girl who wants to eat chocolate on the regular. I’m perfectly capable of surviving without it; it's just that I don't want to. I’m not really picky. If it’s real chocolate (I’m not talking a Hershey’s bar here) I’ll take it in any form.
As a holistic nutritionist, however, I do have certain preferences. I practice what I preach and believe in living with integrity. I believe in feeding my body real foods that will allow it to thrive rather than loading with foods that weigh me down. Food is fuel after all.
One potent fuel I’ve recently discovered is Chapul Chocolate Cricket Protein.
Instead of ordering chocolate mousse takeout from my favorite restaurant every night, I used Chapul's Chocolate Cricket Protein blend to create my own. The amazing recipe below satisfies my cravings while still fueling my body with optimal nutrition. My philosophy as a holistic nutritionist is 80% clean eating, 20% s**t happens. When a treat tastes this good it makes that 80% feel effortless.
Mousse Recipe; 1 Chocolate Chapul Protein Pouch 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 ripe avocado 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 2-4 tbsp water or vanilla almond milk
|
Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend until fully combined. Add water or vanilla almond milk as needed to help the food blend well (Be careful not to over blend, or else it will become more of a liquid). Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
Enjoy!
