I learnt more about the entomophagy movement this year and have tried different flavours of cricket bars from exo and chapul, and I think this is the best flavour I've tried so far!
Best Insects I Ever Ate
Posted by Sondry Behn on 12th Apr 2015
I like the Thai bar the best, then the Chaco. I didn't care that much for the Aztec, I like the kick from the cayenne but I don't like coffee.
I never thought that I would never eat anything made from crickets. I could not taste the crickets and it just taste like a good healthy protein bars. Thanks for bring this to the market and he lping the planet!

Served to group of 50/60 people - ofcourse this was the favorite of the nonchocolate lovers! Great flavor and a winner!

I love this product!!! I saw it shark tank and ordered it right away! I had the Thai Bar and was more then satisfied! Its all organic and NO added sugar which, is the best part especially if your Paleo or try to avoid sugar. The only thing would change is the organic honey just to reduce even more the amount of sugar just like "Larabar" is doing. They simply have dates and nuts no honey and no sugar that would be great. It is still a little bit price and I wish you could drop a little bit more the price or offer better deals(buy more quantity and pay less for example) then I would buy even more!!!
Last point great job with the revolution thing man thats awesome I love the idea behind it I love the slogan feed the world etc. man I love it so much I gave away most of them just because it is such a great idea!!! You guys rock and if the price comes a little bit down then I'll buying a lot of them! You guys doing a great job keep on doing what yo doing!

Only 6-8 grams of protein for 190+ calories is not too good but since this isn't meant to be a protein bar it's a great concept
Best a Taste of the Three

This is a tasty snack bar. I very much enjoye the subtle lime and coconut flavor. These are my favorite of the three bars. Still waiting for a "high cricket" bar with extra protein.
Great, complex flavor

The Thai bar is wonderful because of the mix of flavors -- coconut, lime, and spicy ginger. This was my 'gateway' Chapul bar because the flavor was so interesting (in a good way). When I originally tried the Chaco bar, my taste buds wanted it to be chocolate so it seemed like something was missing. The Thai bar, on the other hand, has it's own unique flavor and I had no preconceptions about what it should taste like, and I have to say Chapul did an amazing job with it.
As a side note, I love the Chaco flavor and it's now my #1 favorite, beating out Thai. My tastes have changed to go for a more subtle mix of flavors, I think. I still really like the Thai, too, though.
Price is the only issue

I can buy a dozen large eggs for $2.50 (less than one bar). 3-4 eggs make a meal for me, while it takes 2 bars to get close to satiate hunger. (Comparatively they're very expensive). In their defense though, a pet store 20 years ago sold crickets at $.25 each (do the math of 40 crickets per bar + other organic ingredients).
I love the flavor, convenience, sparing of egg laying chickens and other animals, environmental impact, and the fact that they only use ingredients that I feel safe eating!
I'm tired of eating eggs, and can't distinguish the flavor of crickets in these or the other bars. I want to get some of this flour and start making my own creations now!
Thank you Chapul for getting this to the American market!

I love the combination of flavors and will keep ordering these bars. This is a great catalyst for gaining acceptance of cricket flour as well as building continued awareness and support for water conservation projects. My one suggestion for the next generation of bars is that I would really like more cricket flour protein so that the ratio of protein to sugar shifts higher.
a nice (slight) kick

I like all of the bar styles, but the thai bar remains my favoriate. It's a little sweet and has a slight ginger kick to it that balances things out. But they all rock.
